Tagaytay had always been a no brainer choice when it comes to family bonding destinations. Just 2 hours from the hustle and bustle of Manila, one will be treated with magnificent views of the Taal Volcano not to mention the several parks and restaurants that compliment the much needed vacation.
When I was younger, we'd usually travel to Tagaytay for family picnics during long weekends.
This time was different though. As I wanted our anniversary to be different (not the usual roughing-it-out kind of trip),we were off to Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast after scoring a great deal from one of the online buying sites.
Chilly morning |
Almost hidden in between the more known hotels and lodging houses in Tagaytay, it provides an unobstructed view of Taal Volcano and its neighboring town.
Joyce's Diner |
The country themed dining area that catered to visitors mostly had Filipino dishes written on their menu.
Breakfast! HEAVENLY :)) |
The 8 rooms they have either had a balcony or a mini garden. Check their website. and their Facebook account for an overview of their rooms and other facilities.
Rates come with free breakfast and I must say, though their options were not as varied as the others,it was delish. What I liked about it was the dinnerware used that fits well with the laid back country theme of the restaurant.
Care for a cup of hot choco? |
Joaquin's B&B is perfect for those seeking privacy as they only had 8 rooms to date, each having its own design and architecture. I loved it :)) It's a perfect place to just lounge all day. :))
Romantic, cozy, cuddle-all-day ambience :) |
Misty mornings |
I'm such a sucker for sunrise shots :) Waiting @ 5AM |
Heart's Day is fast approaching and for those who don't have much time to prepare or if you're running out of ideas or something, this place won't disappoint. :))
Sometimes you just have to stop and let it all in. :) |
